Miniature Samuel the Prophet jug

Miniature replica of an ancient pottery jug from the Tabernacle period, found in Shiloh. Dozens of similar jugs were discovered at the western edge of the city. The archaeologists believe that this rare find, of so many jugs in one place indicates that the site was a storehouse for tithes brought by the pilgrims who visited Shiloh. Samuel, who served in the Tabernacle, may well have touched these jugs! “And Samuel served before the Lord; a youth, dressed in a cloth tunic” (I Samuel 2:18).
