Replica of a lamp found in Shiloh. This olive oil lamp was used for light in a building discovered in the excavation of the northern platform of Tel Shiloh, identified as the site of the Tabernacle. The lamp that burned in the Tabernacle is mentioned in I Samuel, 3:3 “The lamp of God was not yet gone out, and Samuel was laid down to sleep in the hall of the Lord, where the ark of God was.”
